How do I read and verify a scorecard?

Start with the overall band, then verify the must-haves, criterion scores, and evidence before making a decision.

Read it in this order

  1. Check the Strong, Mixed, or Weak band. If Kira could not score enough criteria, the band is withheld and shown as Couldn’t tell.
  2. Review each must-have. Met, Not met, and Not confirmed are separate results. A Not met result caps a shown band at Weak. Not confirmed means the interview did not establish an answer, not that the requirement failed.
  3. Read the 1 to 5 score, behavioral anchor, and rationale for each item under What Kira listened for. Not scored means there was not enough evidence for that criterion.
  4. Verify the evidence. Quotes are matched to the transcript and carry a timestamp. Use Play full answer, the transcript, and audio replay when available to check the surrounding answer.
  5. Record your own rating, notes, and stage decision. Kira's assessment is read-only and never hires or rejects a candidate for you.

For a shortlist, compare completed scorecards side by side. When your review is complete, move the candidate through the pipeline.

A vacancy with no scoring criteria has a recording and transcript instead of an AI scorecard. See how interviews without AI scoring work.
