What happens when I pause or archive a vacancy?
Pause blocks new invitations, resends, and interview starts, while Archive closes the vacancy and revokes invitations that have not started.
- Pause interviews
- Use the vacancy state menu in the header. New invitations, resends, and interview starts stop while the vacancy is Paused. Existing invitations are kept, and an interview that already started can continue or recover. Resume interviews reopens the vacancy.
- Archive vacancy
- Use Archive vacancy in Settings when the role is closed. Kira removes a Listed vacancy from the careers page and revokes every Invited or Opened invitation. Candidates already interviewed and their results are kept. An interview already in progress can still finish or recover.
Archiving keeps the vacancy's public address. If the vacancy uses Link or Listed visibility, that address shows a short closed notice. Republish vacancy reopens the same address, but the revoked invitations stay revoked, so you must invite candidates again.
If you only want to change who can discover the vacancy, review Private, Link, and Listed visibility instead of archiving it. For one candidate, resend, retry, or revoke their invitation.
